Asalamu alaykum warahmatu Allahi wabarakatoh
may Allah reward you for all you hard effort, this site is really very helpful for both the Arab and non Arab Muslims.
I’m teaching tajweed here in America to non Arab Muslims, I’m wondering if you would give me some information about
1-who is the founder of this site, I mean give me some information about the sheikh who wrote all these lessons
2-how can I buy the book of tajweed and from where?
3-can you tell me if you downloaded this site on cd because it is very important to listen to the ayah which you gave as an example.
thank you again and may Allah bless you.

 Answer

Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh,

Jazakum Allahu khairan for the dua’. May Allah reward you for your efforts and give you great ‘ajr for all those that learn from you.

1. The founders of this site choose to remain anonymous, but the lessons are based on many different old books of tajweed and lessons given by the honorable Sheikh Ayman Swayd, translated into English. We previously described a bit about us in the following link http://www.abouttajweed.com/130502.htm , but the staff member learning then the seven different qira’aat then is now obtaining an ijaazah in the ten authentic qira’aat.

2.  The tajweed book which covers some of  tidbit lessons on the site is available in the US at the following links: http://www.al-basheer.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?item=1716&type=store and http://www.islam-muslims-books.com/product.php?pid=428.

Part two will soon be distributed for sale once it is re-printed.  There were errors in the printing and so the distribution for sale has been delayed until a new printing is done.

3.  We are afraid the site is not available on CD, and agree it is important to listen to the aayaat that are examples of a particular rule.  Since you are a teacher, you should be able to read the aayaat to the students, and if they have Internet access, be able to listen on their own too through the Internet.

You are welcome and may Allah bless you too.
