Is Arabic grammar and tajweed linked?  Do you recommend students take an Arabic grammar course?

Answer

Arabic grammar and reading the Qur’an properly are very interlinked.  If one knows Arabic grammar, he/she is much less likely to make mistakes in vowels, or at least understands why the voweling is like it is, so understands his/her mistake.  Studying Arabic grammar is very much recommended for the student of the Qur’an.  It helps in memorizing and in understanding the meaning.
