What are 7 authentic writers of Quran. I know Zaad Ibn Thabit one of them.
Praise be to Allah. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم gave extreme importance and care to writing down the Qur’an at the time of revelation. He had scribes who would write the revelation. When revelation came to him, he would order one of the scribes to write what had just been revealed, even if it was only a word.
Zayd ibn Thaabit (may Allah be pleased with him) was one of the scribes. However, the number of scribes was not just limited to seven. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم allocated the task of writing down the Qur’an to many of his companions. Some of them were: the four rightly guided Caliphs (Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq, ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab, ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan and ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib), al-Zubayr ibn al-‘Awwaam, ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas, Ubayy ibn Ka’b, ‘Abd-Allaah ibn al-Arqam, Thaabit ibn Qays, ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Rawaahah, Khaalid ibn al-Waleed and Mu’aawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan (may Allah be pleased with them).
