Salams. When there is a qalqala letter with shaddah on it do I need to make qalqala on the first letter?
Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
The shaddah consists of two letters, the first saakin, the second voweled. In the case of the qalqalah letter, the first letter of the shaddah is pronounced with collision of the two components of articulation with no accompanying jaw or mouth movement, which means there is no qalqalah. When stopping on a word which ends in a qalqlah letter with a shaddah,, such as:
, we make a qalqalah on the second letter of the shaddah, which is pronounced with separation of the two components of articulation with no accompanying mouth or jaw movement. So the shaddah is divided as:
, and we do not make a qalqalah on the first part of the shaddah.
