Assalaamu Alykum
I would like to know how to read the word firqatin in the end surah tawbah
Is the raa read full mouth or empty mouth and is there other ways of reading it in the other turuq of Hafs
I've heard the word being recited by many qurra read it with full mouth. and some read it empty mouth.
why is this? can you please explain.

Answer
The word is read with tafkheem of the in all of the qira'aat and all of the different turuq of Hafs.  There is no difference of opinion in this rule.
When the is saakinah, preceded by a kasrah, but followed by a letter of which does NOT have a kasra', the rule is tafkheem for the ra' (full mouth).
