is it compulsory to continue when
comes between two ayats or two different verses of the Holy Quran? Jazak Allah Qair

Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
It is not compulsory to continue when there is a small
is written as a stop symbol at the end of an aayah because stopping on the end of aayah is sunnah. There are times when the grammar and meaning link to that which comes next is strong, so one may continue and joing the two aayaat together to keep the flow of meaning going, but if one stops, he/she is following the sunnah.
