I have heard two different pronunciations of "Allah" one which is a strong ending sound (like Alloh) while the other is soft (Allae)..

I have heard two different pronunciations of "Allah" one which is a strong ending sound (like Alloh) while the other is soft (Allae). Can you please tell me which one is correct?

Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Most likely you are referring to what is called in Arabic, tafkheem (or velarization) and tarqeeq (attenuation) of the letter   and the alif following it in the Glorious name of Allah.  There are rules for when the  should be read with tafkheem (strong, heavy) and when it should be read with tarqeeq.  Please see the following link for the details: http://www.abouttajweed.com/tafkheem_and_tarqeeq2.htm
