Question
Which of the 10 Qaris read Basmallah between two Surahs?
Answer
When joining two surahs together, there are some of the ten qira'aat which read with the basmalah exclusively between the two surahs, and others as one of three options.
Those who only read the basmalah when joining two consecutive surahs together are: Qaloon, Ibn Kathir, Aasim, and Abu Ja'far.
The who read the basmalah as one of three allowed ways when joining two consecutive surahs together are: Abu 'Amr Al-Basri, Ibn 'Aamir, and Ya'qoob.
Hamzah and Khalaf join to surahs together only with wasl (joining) the two surahs together.
