Question
What is tajweed?
Answer
Tajweed linguistically means to make better
In Applied terms it means to recite the Qur'an correctly with knowledge of the appropriate rules of recitation and applying them to one's recitation.  The goal of every Muslim should be to recite the Qur'an as it was revealed to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him.  This can be done by studying and applying the rules of tajweed through a qualified teacher of the Qur'an.
