I would like to know what is the specific ruling on a letter with dhammah followed by yaa sakinah. As in Surat-an-Naba..

This is an excellent website -Masha'Allaah.  May Allaah Ta'Aala reward you with all good in this life and the next....Insha'Allaah I would like to know what is the specific ruling on a letter with  dhammah followed by  yaa sakinah.  As in Surat-an-Naba verse 20 where there is a SEEN with dhammah followed by a YAA with sheddah i.e.- . Is this medd leen?  

Also, are there other such occurrences of this in Al-Qur'aan Kareem...  is there such a word that has a letter with kasrah followed by waw saakinah?   JazakumAlaahu Khairan for your response.

Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.  Jazakum Allahu khairan.

The only rule involved in with a  that has a shaddah on it preceded by a dhammah as in,; or a  with a shaddah and a kasrah preceded by a dhammah such as in: , is that we need to make the shaddah complete.  This is not ّ which is a  or  saakinah (without a shaddah) preceded by a fat-hah followed by one letter and we are stopping on that word with a temporary sukoon, such as in the words  and .    A leen letter is a or saakinah (not with a shaddah) preceded by a fat-hah not followed by a temporary or presented sukoon.

There are other occurrences of the type of words in the question found in the Qur’an, but the rule is the same, we need to complete the shaddah and avoid lengthening the dhammah that precedes the  and  in these types of words.
