When reading the huruf al maqatta alif laam mim in Surah 3 (Aal Imran)without stopping and joining them with the next word which is Allah, does the letter miim gets a fatha?
Questions Title: Huruf maqatta
Assalamu Aleikum wa rahmatu lilahi wa barakaatuh. May Allah preserve you all and may He reward greatly for all the efforts you provide the Muslims on a daily basis (Amin).
My first question is about the huruf al Maqatta.
a) When reading the huruf al maqatta alif laam mim in Surah 3 (Aal Imran)without stopping and joining them with the next word which is Allah, does the letter miim gets a fatha?
b) Secondly, when reading the same huruf maqatta but this time in Surah 19 (Mariam) without stopping, is there an idghaam with the letter Saad into the letter dhaal in dhikru?

Jazakum Allahu khairan for your kind dua' and may Allah make easy for you all khair, increase you in beneficial knowledge, and make easy for you the completion of memorization of the Qu'ran.
a) Yes, the meem acquires a fathah when joining the separated letters at the beginning of the surah of Aali 'Imraan ()with that which follows which is the Glorious name of Allah, . The medd of the individual letter can then be lengthened 6 vowel counts, that of medd laazim, or two vowel counts, because there is no longer a sukoon on the meem.

b. For the reading of Hafs 'an 'Aasim there is no idghaam, instead there is of the saakinah of the separate letter at the beginning of surah Maryam into the when reading: in continuum. In the ten qira'aat there are those who make idghaam here, but Hafs 'an 'Aasim is not one of the them.
