Question
Salaamun ‘alaikum wa rahmatul-laahi wa barakaatuh,

In answer # 53 you mentioned that the timing of the leen letters is not the same as the timing of (other) letters from ’arrakhaawah group. Is the timing of the leen letters longer or shorter?
Jazaakal-laahu khairaa.
Wa salaamun ‘alaikum wa rahmatul-laahi wa barakaatuh.

Answer
Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
In answer 53 we stated: "The timing of letter includes the timing of , but cannot say that they are equal, instead we like to use the term inclusive.  The  and  are from group."

The timing of the characteristic of is not based on vowel counts but instead is based on learning from a qualified teacher and reading to him/her and being corrected.  The timing of the though is less than two vowel counts and more than one vowel counts.  We cannot compare the two as to timing then.  What we stated was that the timing of the letter includes the timing of   , and this statement is the end to which we can go with and since their timings are not based on the same scale.
And Allah knows best.
May Allah reward you also.
Wa assalaam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
