Question
Assalaamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuhu I understand that the intrinsic characteristics are always present in the letter, but are there degrees to the presence of these? e.g. is the whisper more apparent when the letter is saakin than when it is vowelled? If so - would this be the case for all other characteristics? Wassalaamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu Answer Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, The intrinsic characteristics are always present, as indicated in the question, but the saakin letter gives more of a chance for the characteristics to show since there is no vowel.
