Question
Are there two ways to say daad 1 way is the side of tongue and the 2nd way is pushing whole tongue on roof palate?

What if someone cant pronounce daad?
Answer
The Dhaad is pronounced by the collision of the side or both sides of the tongue with the inner plates of the upper molars.  This is the correct articulation point.  The upper palate is not part of the articulation point of the dhaad. and only the side of the tongue is used.  Please see the following:

If someone can't pronounce the dhaad they need to practice and understand the proper point and keep trying and make dua' that Allah will make it easy for them, just like any other letter which someone may not be able to pronounce.
