Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
I have a question for surah Ibrahim verse 26. If I stop read at word Ard and begin with Jtuthat min fawqil Ard...
How to pronounce this jtuthat - Wiht Kasra or Dummah?
Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh
There are a few aspects to our answer, the first is: The word which precedes اجتثت is not the word الأرض rather it is خبيثةٍ .
The second is: There is no allowed stop on the word خبيثة this stop not convey a complete meaning nor is it complete in grammar.
The third: If we were to start on the word اجتثت for some reason, as in a test (not in our normal recitation), we would start with a dhammah on the hamzah al-wasl because the third letter of the verb اجتثت has the vowel of a dhammah.

The fourth thing to note here is: When reading the phrase together as we should:
Wa assalaam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh
Baarak Allahu feekum
