We continue explaining the words that are written joined or separated in the Glorious Qur'an, please refer to the first three lessons on this subject now located in the tidbit archives for the importance of these lessons.

There is one place in the Qur’an where these two words are written, by agreement,  .

There are four places where there is a difference in the copies of the Qur’an as to whether they are written  or .

Imam Ibn Al-Jazaree said the following about these two words:

Sheikh Al-Jazaree as shown, referred to the place in surah An-Nisaa', but did not refer to the other three places in his poem. These two words are written in all other places  .   Another scholar, Sheikh Ibrahim Ali Shahaatah As-Samanoodiyy, May Allah have mercy upon him , in his poem:

These two words are found written in the Qur’an   ,  or  .  Sheikh Al-Jazaree started by stating the one place where there is a difference in the copies of the Qur’an as to them being written  or .  He then stated the places where they are written in agreement.  His statement "" (also), means there is difference as to the writing of the next words  or .

These two words are written   in 10 places in the Qur’an, in all other places they are written  .  The last one listed Ash-Shu'araa is one that Imam Al-Jazaree forgot to state that there is a difference in the copies of the Qur’an as to whether it is written  or  .  The places where they are written  are:

Imam Ibn Al-Jazaree, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

He included the aayah in Ash-Shu'araa' in the listing of the places where is written , but the truth is there is a difference in copies of the Qur’an as to the way it is written.
