Again I have to congratulate u on this much informative site. May u grow from strength to strength. I notice here in Egypt the qiraat is read "bil jam'"(collectively).I need to know if one can get an ijaaza for the ten qiraat in this way or is it necessary to read it individually and when did this type of recitation start. shukran.

Jazakum Allahu khairan, and may Allah increase you in beneficial knowledge. 

The reading the qira’aat by tareeq al-jam3 (simultaneously or collectively reading) was started during 400 Hijara and was met with acceptance by all the scholars.  Since then, it is very common to get an ijaazah in the qira’aat and even in Hafs ‘an ‘Aasim by way of tareeq at-Tayyibah by tareeq al-jam3.  It is recognized and accepted by the scholars and is considered authentic by all, since nothing was changed in it, just they are being read together.
