Question Salam, Answer Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, Barak Allahu feekum. It is very good to hear that you have motivation and passion to learn tajweed and apply it in your reading. It seems though, at present you are quite busy with exams, and our suggestion would be to learn a few rules in the meantime, but not to take too much time out of your study schedule since you will have a study break and then can devote your time and energy to the study of tajweed. If you take on too much for yourself at one time, you may end up not doing well at either, and then get frustrated. Spend sometime each day reading Qur’an, that is something all Muslims should do. Set aside time for that, such as after Fajr prayers, and try to apply the tajweed rules you know and learn a few more if possible. Listen to masters at reading such as Sheikh Al-Husary, or Sheikh Abdullah Bafsar, and that will help you in your application too. Make dua’ that you will not loose your passion and motivation and insha’ Allah it will be there after your exams are finished. May Allah grant you your desire and teach you tajweed and its application in the recitation of His noble words. Wa iyyaakum. Wa assalaam. |
