Question

Could you PLEASE help me on this one.  I would like to know how many times the word "ALLAH" has been used in the Holy Qur'an? And what are the two Sourahs the word "ALLAH" has been mostly used in?

Ramadhan Mubaarak to you.  Somehow we get the feeling we are answering a contest question. 

We actually had a hard time finding this answer, because the software we have gives how many aayaat have the glorious name of Allah, not the number of times it appears.  We ended up searching English translations because we could not find an Arabic word search of the Qur’an on the Internet, so found a different answer for every search.  We have no confidence in what we found as to the number of times the glorious name of Allah appears in the Qur’an, we found 2157, but since it was in an English search, we cannot be certain. 

We can say with more confidence that the glorious name of Allah is present the most in surah Al-Baqarah and in surah An-Nisaa’.
