Question

Asalam Alikum,

Is it true that if anyone who recites the Quran without Tajweed will be cursed by the Quraan and will be punished?

Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh.

Subhana Allah, there are parts of reciting the Qur'an that are required, and other parts that are preferred and something a Muslim should strive for, but not sinful if one does not apply it.  There would be quite a few Muslims afraid to recite the Qur'an if every tajweed mistake would be considered sinful.
