Question Assalamu'alaykum, Answer Wa alaikum assalaam wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh. Jazaka Allahu khairan and may Allah increase you in eemaan always. When the Glorious name of Allah is preceded by a fathah or dhammah there is tafkheem of the of the Glorious name of Allah and the alif that follows it. The two parts of a shaddah are never separated in tafkheem and tarqeeq so both of the shaddah have tafkheem; meaning the tafkheem starts from the first of the shaddah, which is the saakinah. A common mistake of readers of the Qur’an is making tafkheem on only one of the two and/or not making tafkheem of the alif after the second of the shaddah. Care also needs to be taken not to make tafkheem on the pronounced vowel preceding the of the Glorious name of Allah, unless of course it is on a letter of tafkheem. Wa iyyaakum wa-l-muslimeen |
