What is the difference between a qaari and a hafiz?

 

Answer

A Qaari is a term generally used for one that read the Qur’an well and is known for his/her good reading.  The Qari may or may not have memorized the Qur’an.

 

A Haafiz (Hafidh) is one who had memorized the Qur’an, and they may or may not have mastered tajweed.
